The Congress of the People, in collaboration with The Chinapoo Village Social Welfare Organization and the Holy Trinity Spiritual Baptist Church, will be hosting their Annual Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day celebrations this Sunday 28th March, 2010 in Morvant, Laventille.
The celebrations will commence with a procession starting at 9.00 am from the Chinapoo Government Primary School and ending at the Holy Trinity Spiritual Baptist Church on Trinity Avenue. This year's theme is "Together in Righteousness" and the Spiritual Leader of the Mt. Pisgah Spiritual Baptist Church, Reverend Stephen Douglas, son of the late Archbishop Raymond Oba Douglas will deliver the feature address.
At the church, guests will participate in a Spiritual Service to be followed by a Cultural display of limbo, songs, dance and drumming by neighboring artistes.
The keynote address will be delivered by Acting Political Leader Wendy Lee Yuen, in the absence of Political Leader Winston Dookeran who will be in India on a University Lecture Tour for two weeks.
