The Political Leader and the Congress of the People join with the rest of the national community in expressing our sympathy and condolences on the passing of Professor Dennis Pantin of the University of the West Indies.

His death has left a deep void not only in the economic and academic circles, but throughout this Nation.

Professor Pantin has had positive responses to his works throughout the West Indian society and academic world at large.

Trinidad and Tobago has not only lost a true son, a noble thinker, and a political commentator, but a patriot who never ceased to espouse empowering views of strategic relevance in the quest to elevate this nation to a higher level of economic strength. His works will always remain a point for renewed research and discussions.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Professor Dennis Pantin.
